I see the intelligence behind the smile
The crystal clear thought and charming wile
While I don't belive you mean any harm
I know this for truth - you're a hard lady to charm
I stuggle and totter and try to keep calm
But from a distance I hear a disturbing alarm
You're far away and without an approach
And I must proceed on the path for least reproach
Forgive me dear lady I fear I'm undone
The struggle to win you is a colossal one
Moments ago you ignited a spark
But the buring has me gutted and left my life stark
